A culture walk is an assessment of the physical spaces of a workplace for factors that may allow for sexual harassment and violence. Factors such as space allocation, office placement, visual displays, and the manner in which employees communicate, can speak volumes about the workplace environment and culture.
There are many ways to conduct a culture walk, ranging from a walk-through planned in coordination with workplace leadership, or with coworkers, or workers gathering together in a meeting to identify and reflect on gaps in workplace equity, safety, and respect.
